Darwinex Zero: A Completely Different Model
Darwinex Zero is not a prop firm in the traditional sense. It is operated by Darwinex, a UK-based, FCA-regulated broker and investment manager. Instead of a one-time "pass or fail" challenge, you pay a flat €38–€43/month subscription and trade a virtual account with zero risk to your personal capital. There are no profit targets, no maximum drawdown rules, and no minimum trading days. You simply trade, and your performance builds a verified public track record.
How the DARWIN System Works
Every subscriber's trading performance is transformed into a DARWIN — a proprietary, independent, investable financial index built on top of your trade activity. Critically, your actual trading signals and positions are kept hidden, protecting your intellectual property. What the public sees is only the risk-adjusted return curve of your DARWIN, not your specific trades.
The Calibration Phase
After starting, your account enters a ~15-day calibration phase during which Darwinex's AI analyses your risk-adjusted return patterns. Once calibrated and approved, your DARWIN goes live and begins competing in the DarwinIA monthly capital allocation programme.
DarwinIA: Getting Real Capital Allocated
DarwinIA is the monthly competition where Darwinex allocates real investor capital to the top-performing DARWINs. There are two tiers:
DarwinIA SILVER — Available to any subscriber with a qualifying track record. Top-ranked DARWINs receive capital allocations from Darwinex's own seed capital pool.
DarwinIA GOLD — For traders with 6+ months of consistent performance. Allocations are larger, longer-term, and can attract third-party investor capital beyond Darwinex's own seed fund.
How You Get Paid
You earn a 15% performance fee on all profits generated from the capital allocated to your DARWIN. This is calculated on a High-Water Mark basis — meaning you only get paid on new net profits, never on recovering previously lost ground. Payments are quarterly by default, with some allocations allowing monthly payouts.
The Darwin Score (D-Score)
Your D-Score is a proprietary quality metric measuring the consistency of your risk-adjusted returns over time. A higher D-Score means more stable, predictable performance — which attracts larger allocations and third-party investor interest beyond the DarwinIA programme.
Who Is This For?
Darwinex Zero is ideal for experienced traders who trade long-term strategies, hate the stress of 30-day deadlines, and want to build a legally verifiable track record that could attract institutional capital. It is the only path to managing investor money without needing your own fund license. If you are a scalper or short-term EA trader, the calibration system may not suit your strategy well.
The Verdict
At €38/month, the downside is capped at your subscription cost. The upside is unlimited capital allocation from Darwinex and external investors. Use our discount code to reduce your first month's subscription fee and start building your track record today.
